Weekend

On Saturday we went up the second tallest mountain in Tirol to visit an aunt. She has a restaurant and cooked us amazing Spaetzle.

Today we went to bring the horses down from the mountains.

This is where we had lunch.

Gut Nacht.

So we climbed a mountain today.

On the left is Tarrenz where I live and on the right is Obtarrenz.

Now on the right is Tarrenz and on the left Imst.

And I made it to the top after about two hours.

Yes there is a cross on the top....

Yes this is not really the bottom we had already driven up half the mountain.

When we got to the bottom we went to the restaurant (you can find a restaurant half way up all the mountains, they are exactly how you would think a restaurant should be half way up a mountain in Austria) we had lemon beer and noodle soup.

So I passed the test with flying colors !!!!!!

Now I am enjoying learning how to use the power tools in the wood workshop and working in the garden. Tomorrow we go to the mountain across the valley from us.

This is Innsbruck. It is the biggest city around Tarrenz.

My first ever letter at my Austrian address!!!

i'm posting for morgana . . she's a busy student in austria, studying for her level one german exam so she can stay on as an au pair.

she writes that she's having a wonderful time, everyone is so nice, the country is gorgeous, and the food is delicious.
