SkiWeltCup!!!!

Yesterday I went to the Ski World Cup!!

It was on a glacier in Otztal. Papa, Julian and I left at 7am in the morning. But we still had to wait for about 2 hours in a line of cars to get in.

Julian is on the left and Lucas on the right. Lucas is a friend of Julian's friend Jugan. We picked them both up on the way.

It was very exciting to be at the would cup. I spoke to some people from France and a girl from South Africa who had moved to Austria 5 years ago. 

The energy and excitement was amazing! And I will never forget it.

Heut

It snowed heut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning I went to Hall (it's a part of Innsbruck) with Leon's school to see a concert.

It was a great program for children told with a story.

The Violinist was Lidia Baich.

This is the smoke from the wood stove.

It's snowing, it's snowing still!!!!!!!!!!

A Monday

This is Lotta ready for ballet on Monday.

And this is Leon doing what brothers do.

Here she is saying "stop my photo."

 I fed the chickens today. There were no leftovers so I had to cook noodles for them.

It was raining.

This is a bunny hutch........but the chickens like it.

They are always very hungry.

The one on the left is one of my favorites.

The reason the bricks end in this photo is that directly under the front walk is the wood stove.........and it was leaking, so Sunday evening the boys and papa ripped up the stones to fix it. But its now Wednesday evening and nothing else has happened.

Cow Auction

Last Sunday there was a cow auction.

You can see Ines's boyfriend on the left in the back of the picture.

 

He had two cows to auction.

It was interesting to see all the farmers. They all walk the same, dress the same, and talk the same.

These are bulls........they are not very big ones but they have a huge presence.

The Open House and Pumpkins

We went pumpkin shopping on Friday before going to Leon's school to decorate it for the open house on Saturday.

These two little ones came with us.

On the left is Johanna (she is the daughter of Samuel and Lotta's Gurdi (god mother) ) 

And Ylvi is on the right.

This is where my Schwamler ended up.

Schwamler is dialect for mushroom,

and I can spell it however I want because dialect does not have a dictionary.

Manu and I have been collecting berries and leaves for days.

Every time we see them while driving we pull over and get them.

These pictures are from the other day when I walked to Imst from Tarrenz along the puntastrasse (that is not right....I will ask someone again and correct it) its a street through the fields.

Today we went horse back riding. I learned how to post while galloping and trotting :) And Caddy says I can come back and go faster and out of the pasture :D 

Ines's friend Kathy (with the dialect accent it sounds like Caddy) has her horse in a pasture in the mountains. It was very beautiful and after we all had a few rounds of the pasture we just sat in the grass and relaxed in the sun.

We then had to drive to the other side of the mountain to pick up papa who had climbed over the mountain while we were riding. He took an hour longer then he said he would so we had to wait in the car. 

Finally we finished up the day with dinner and some friends garden by the river.

It was the first time I had been down to the river and it was beautiful!! I played guitar with Alex around the fire. Then they asked me to sing and I did but it was very out of tune.

The children asked me to sing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again, ever since I sang a bit of it at the dinner table they always asks for it.

Now I should post this so Samuel can turn the internet off, because when it's on he does not have internet upstairs when Julian is watching a movie downstairs............I don't really get it.

Herbst and the Schwamler (Piltz)

So now it's really starting to feel like Herbst (fall) here in Tirol. The mountains are turning a little yellow (the birch trees) and it's a little bit chilly and rainy.

I got back a little while ago from teaching my first dance class to children age 10 to 14. It went really well with 9 children!!!
