A Frosty Morning in December

This morning when I went to feed the chickens I found frost covering everything!!!

I had to come back out with my camera.

I have so much to blog about I don't know were to start!! 

But right now I'll just say that we have been decorating the house and getting ready for Christmas.

On the 12th of December I go to Vienna!! I can't wait.

More another day. I have German homework I want to get done before a busy weekend..........

Alpinmesse

On Sunday I went to the Alpinmesse in Innsbruck.

The Alpinmesse is a fair where all the newest mountain climbing stuff (and all other mountain sports) is viewed by the true Austrian outdoorsers.......and a few unknowing people like me.

Universitat Bibliothek

Here is the beautiful contrast of cars, beautiful buildings, and mountains that you find in Innsbruck.

Here is the Universitat Bibliothek where I was able to get a book about WWII in english.

Here is the University right next to it.

I went by train with Samuel in the morning at 6:30am. He showed me where the library was and then went to school a few blocks away.

It was great to be in a city, and to see lots of people, and to have books all around me again.

And this is the beautiful sunset i was able to see as I walked to Imst for my German class the day before.

Tschey

We went to the Tschey last weekend.

There are many huts that people stay in in the summer.

The Gotsches go all year.

It's the most beautiful place in the world (after Cape Cod). I spent all day walking in the mountains and writing in my journal.

We also picked out our Christmas tree that we will come back to cut down.

SkiWeltCup!!!!

Yesterday I went to the Ski World Cup!!

It was on a glacier in Otztal. Papa, Julian and I left at 7am in the morning. But we still had to wait for about 2 hours in a line of cars to get in.

Julian is on the left and Lucas on the right. Lucas is a friend of Julian's friend Jugan. We picked them both up on the way.

It was very exciting to be at the would cup. I spoke to some people from France and a girl from South Africa who had moved to Austria 5 years ago. 

The energy and excitement was amazing! And I will never forget it.

Heut

It snowed heut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This morning I went to Hall (it's a part of Innsbruck) with Leon's school to see a concert.

It was a great program for children told with a story.

The Violinist was Lidia Baich.

A Monday

This is Lotta ready for ballet on Monday.

 I fed the chickens today. There were no leftovers so I had to cook noodles for them.

It was raining.

This is a bunny hutch........but the chickens like it.

They are always very hungry.

The one on the left is one of my favorites.

The reason the bricks end in this photo is that directly under the front walk is the wood stove.........and it was leaking, so Sunday evening the boys and papa ripped up the stones to fix it. But its now Wednesday evening and nothing else has happened.
